Camper trailer suspension
Gday All.
Picked up this camper a little while ago as damaged vehicle. There is very little damage and does not comply with write off criteria so, am going through the process of getting her registered again. Almost there now.
I’m thinking of changing the axle & suspension to something with dual or bigger single shock/s, more lift and most importantly, LR stud pattern.
Tent will handle the lift no worries.
I’ll put the axle off this onto my 1970 1/2t army trailer to make use of the brakes.
Wheel track is same as Defender.
Anyone got an axle w brakes, preferably disc electric they’d like to sell?
Cheers
Col

You’d be lucky to find somebody with an axle ready to go....
Whilst I match trailer to the defender when I built it I’m not sure I’d worry about change an existing trailer.
You should be able buy new hubs to go onto the existing axle although Land Rover rim offset might catch you out
Electric Disc, haven’t come across this set up, normally disc is override hydraulic or cable
I fitted electric over hydraulic disc onto my trailer using defender stubs, hubs, calipers etc
