Why wouldn't a Defender handle it? Might be a bit slow but the weights are well within specs all round.
Hi guys,
Have a 2015 Defo Puma 2.2 and looking at towing a 17 ft Legend Caravan. The van is 2800kgs and ball weight 168kgs.
Not sure if the Defender can handle it although I have upgraded the suspension with Ironman Springs and Shockers and sits a couple inches higher and stiffer.
Any thoughts on thus one.

No issues at all towing that van as long as the ball weight is right and the van brakes work
Just don’t labour it in top gear

Thanks for responses. Probably a bit concerned about the available power pulling up hills.

Thanks Scary,
We talking about a chip remapping ?....I've heard that helps a lot for towing.
Sorry meant Scarry
Yes a Re map, does make quite a difference.
But you need to get one one from guys that do LR's.Not just anyone.
Someone in your area may chime in with a good place to go,i think many use the BAS tune, developed in UK.
