Hi all, long-time lurker, 1st time poster.
I've had a search on the forum for an answer to this already, but some of the threads were almost 10yrs old. Also there didn't seem to be a conclusive answer to the question, so thought I'd ask again in case someone has solved this already!
Here's my situation.
I own an MY14 Disco4 fitted with TuffAnt 18's. We are gearing up for a lap of AUS (yeah!) and I'm having a box trailer built which will come in at ~1200ATM.
I would like to run the same wheels on the vehicle as the trailer so my 2x spare Tuffant wheels can be used on either.
I am however having trouble sourcing trailer hubs that are specifically for a Disco 4. That said, it looks like hubs that suit Holden VF or VE wheels would work because they also run a 5 stud pattern on 120PCD with M14 x 1.5 threads.
Holden VE and VF Wheel Specs:
Holden Commodore 2013 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com
Disco 4 Wheel Specs:
Land Rover Discovery 4 2014 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com
Only difference I can see is the centre-bore measurement, but I think I will be OK as the Disco wheels' centre bore is larger (72.6mm) than the VF/VE centre bore (66.9mm)
Which I think means that the hole in the Tuffants will be 5.7mm larger than stub of the Holden VF/VE hub, and it should fit.
Anyway, any thoughts or experience you're willing to share would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Tom

Yeah, I think you're right. Not too concerned about bore difference as the Tuffant centre-bore is larger than the Commodore hub, and as you said I can get someone to turn up some rings to fill the gap.
I did come across another thread saying that most off-the-shelf commodore trailer hubs come with 7/16 studs even though the Commodores they're made for have M14x1.5 studs themselves. ?!? I feel like we might be in some sort of alternate reality down here with the aftermarket trailer parts community refusing to let go of Imperial...
Anyway net result will be some version of getting a blank hub and having someone drill a 5 x 120 PCD pattern and press in some M14x1.5 studs! (and make me some spacer rings while they are at it!)
Cheers and thx for the input,
Tom
I built a trailer and set it up for D1 wheels (had a D1 at the time ) , brother in law gave me a pair of hubs that matched a Transit which has same PCD but different studs.
Stud hole was too big for LR studs but i found that M16 was common on agri machinery so got a set and they were a perfect fit for the hubs.

Hi Davernator,
Have you asked the people at TuffAnt?
They are helpful and They they may know who supplies exactly what you are after.

Just get the 5 X 120 hubs and a shop to fit the LR studs. They may have to modify the holes, but it will allow you to just use the TuffAnt wheel nuts. Spacer rings would need to be made up to suit the hub and wheel. Something to keep in mind is the off-set of the wheel..

I wanted to do this on my Kimberly Kamper, the big issue was the wheel off set, you can get blanks with big enough bearings or Commodore hubs and drill the studs.
For me, I have independent suspension so I would have needed new axle spindles etc, at 53 offset you would need to add 100mm on the axle. For me I would have rubbed on the body of the camper your situation is much better.
The problem with using newer hubs is the Bearings don't suit the axle. The aftermarket trailer industry are using the same hubs they always had, I believe based on the popular choices back then.
Hi, have you looked at Alko parts.
I had a trailer built a few years back and the plan is to change the normal town hubs and whells to LR pattern for major bush trips. Trailer man said would be OK.
