Hi Larry
Nicked most of the posters from my 13Y0:D:D:D:D But do prefer Ford over Holden.
Top left of the pic is a real nice kickass holden.Zapps Rat,a WA doorslamer that gives the mexicans a tough time. When John Zappia signed the poster, he had the fastest doorslammer time in Australia 6.08sec@ 239MPH!!!

Tommorows the big day(hopefully). All the sheetmetal is ready to fit.
Spent today preparing the sheetmetal, grinding welds, cold galving the welds and painting a few bits that will be real hard to paint with the body on.
The plan is to glue all the sheetmetal on with Sikaflex 252 then later put a few stitch welds in for peace of mind more than anything.
Im told I could go with the Sikaflex alone.
Will get some pics up tommorow.May have to put the "KEGS ARE EMPTY" sign up to avoid the usual sunday session problem :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I got all the sheetmetal glued on OK.About 90% happy with the job.
A few stuff ups with the trailer frame, measured both ends front and rear when I got the sheetmetal bent. There is a bow along the length of the trailer, less than 10mm in 2400mm due to heat stress during welding. The sheetmetal didnt co-operate as it should, but turned out reasonable.
NOBODYS PERFECT,ESPECIALLY AS IM LEARNING AS I GO!!! much my lifes story at the moment!!!
Dont look pretty at the moment as its FULL of Landy spare wheels/tyres to weight the floor down whilst the glue cures.36deg when I knocked off this arvo so they can stay put.16 wheels and tyres onboard:cool::cool::cool::cool: Springs didnt flinch!!!
Will get a pic of it as it is and unloaded up soon.

hey landyandy.
Nice job on the trailer.
One thing ! I hope you have plenty of fuses for the water crossing ??? electric brakes !!
Its a pain in the ass and it will happen believe me.

Thanks
Have you got a circuit breaker(self resetting fuse) at the battery end???? Im guessing thats why one is used.

i know my input here might be a little late, but with the design, you shouldve been able to get away with using just the trailer brakes for the tipping action unless you wanted to be able to tip on the run
simple to do, just use an on-board controller for the electric brakes, or use the handbrake, unclip the tipping locks, put the brakes on and reverse slowly
worked well for a friends F350/24' sliding gooseneck trailer setup, even when loaded down with a LWB CMP blitz truck on it.......
