Started on the trailer body today, trailer will have a large wedge shaped drawbar toolbox with an access door on each side, immediately behind the toolbox is a large enclosed draw the full width of the trailer body that will slide out on the "passenger side". This will be used for storage when working and will house the kitchen when camping/touring. Thats a fair way and a few dollars down the track from now though.
Also bought a 59 litre water tank and a pair of mudguards, will hopefully install both of them tomorrow.

Latest photo's............excuse the mess, damn i'd love a bigger shed

Got the water tank mounted today, still need to buy the pump, fittings and water pipe though, and will get a guard bent up to protect it when i start the sheetmetal on the rest of the trailer. also started on the large slide for the kitchen, i had a set of draw slides origionally from a 2 metre long cargo draw out of a work van, these will do nicely with a bit of modification.

    Bit more progress......
Have a few small things done like installed the handbrake, safety chains, mudguards and lots of grinding, touching up welds etc. Am also in the process of getting quotes for the sheetmetal to close the trailer up. Getting there.....

Thanks Mick, at least 40 hours so far, probably more. Lots of time double checking measurements and trying to think ahead of what i'm currently doing to try and avoid design faults that pop up as you go along.....

Thanks mate, plans are from......well there are no plans. Knew roughly what i wanted and spent many nights in front of the telly sketching and deciding on dimentions that suit my needs, double checked what i landed up with (drawbar length, rear overhang), with Landandy's trailer and started building

Well, after a little break from trailer building for various reasons i got stuck into it for the last couple of days, trailer build is now complete and have now taken it on it's maiden tow from Melbourne to Bendigo for a mate to give it a few coats of paint, and to return his Mig, damn i'm gonna have to buy one for myself....
Then to wire and plumb it up properly and start building the kitchen.
