Not funny... We started off going to pick up our new camper trailer in July and ended up with a new car as well. Mind you we are happy with both of them

    Matt,

A friend and I are testing our camper trailers on a 4x4 trip next Saturday if you want to come along too. It is not far from you and will show you some of their offroad capabilities, and if the weather is up to it we'll put them up etc for you and your family to take a look at.

I have a Cape York trailer,(Which you've already seen I remember now) and Trev has an O'briens camper. We'll be tackling a loop through snug tiers and out again with a loonngg lunch break/ BBQ in the middle

We'd be happy to have you guys along!

Thanks Andy for the offer Port Sorell is the other end of the Island
Justin does that mean I have to take my Disco OFFROAD

I'm interested. You know what my car is like. If you think I don't slow you down/will make it at all, sounds very tempting to me.

I'm off fixing some computers and might call in this afternoon.

    Matt

And Melbourne Leisurefest is on the cards as well. Kids will love the zoo and me all the other toys ;-)

    Hi,

we made it to Melbourne and been at the Leisurefest today. Wow nothing like that in Tassie. We had a closer look to those trailers Mountain Trail Campers .They have 15oz all around and the trailer looks very solid. Towbar is one piece till the end of the trailer. We have friends in Hobart who bought one of those as well. Also the guy was very friendly and drives a new Landrover ;-)
This one comes powder coated/breaks/under body water tank/led lights.....

Anyone heard of those trailers before ?

    Thanks,

    Matt

You could try Lowline 97623066 lowline industries but I think they still do more Jayco than anything else in the way of camper trailers.

There is a Campertrailer hire co in Carrum downs who also build them but I cant remember their name for the lofe of me.

For a family I have found the Jayco type fairly comfortable, we had one when I was a kid and we traveled around most of Oz in an HQ holden and the Camper trailer with My Folks and 3 Teenages.
