      Have a look at these photos of a Hyland coupling which was in the yard when we were on the phone. Note that the correct load levelling device is fitted for this vehicle type, the coupling head is locked and it is unscrewing the towball as he travels down the road. This towball was last tightened about 200kms ago, the owner was curious as to why the ball was always loose. Note also that the coupling head is fouling the top of the hitch receiver plate causing stress on the coupling, the towball and the coupling head. This van weighs 2170kg and has to be fitted with a minimum 2500kg towball. The standard hi-rise towball is only rated at 2.00 tonne, hence the problem with this type of hitch in this environment.
