Remote reservoir shock absorbers to suit?

What options are there for remote reservoir shock absorbers to suit the Discovery 2? What brands have people used and recommend?

    First question is why ?

Are your current ones fading ?
Or is it just so you can be one of the cool kids ? (and a valid justification IMO )

The only true 'bolt up' ones that I'm aware of are made by Fox specifically for Land Rover Deefer/DI/RRC suspension and use urethane bushes with a bump adjuster on the can.

All others are race shocks with spherical bearings that you will have to mod to fit.
Some manufacturers, eg SAW enable you to retrofit urethane bushes to the damper's eyes, but you'd still have to mod all the mountings on the vehicle to double shear (eye) from pin as well as a new mount on the top rear.

OME LTR's would seem to be available for a D2 according to their website.

I have the Defender version on my 90.

If I'm going to replace them, might as well get the good ones. From what I have red about them, they are generally rebuildable, unlike other shockies which are throw away after.

And yeah, I saw a Disco the other day with them and they look cool!

Standard Billies, Koni's and Delphi de carbons are rebuildable too, but often the labour costs can outweigh the replacement cost, depending on who does it.
