AT tyres for 19 inch D4

I run Pirelli AT 255x55x19 every day and they are pretty good. I killed one in the Flinders by hitting a grid at high speed (the tyre didn't burst but developed a bulge on the side wall). Other than that, no problem to report. I also have a set of Wrangler MTRs. I have never punctured one but they are not as good on the road (a little noisy, and quite slipprey when wet). I wouldn't run those for everyday work.
On another note, does anyone know where I could buy a 19 inch rim? I need another spare before I head for the Cape next month.

I have ordered 5 Grabbers from Tyrepower in Mornington Vic - they called supplier yesterday and came back and said that they are now due in around the 10th June.

Has anyone else in Melbourne area got their 19's yet?

I'm off for three months LSL at the end of June and MUST have the Grabbers on my D4 before i leave otherwise my itinerary will have to change.

    Hi RosscoDisco,
Do you know how much you are paying?
I am in Mt Martha and wouldn't mind seeing them once you have them on.
    Cheers, Craig

Hope the wharfies and Patricks sort out their issues, don't they know we are all waiting for these to arrive!

Touch wood that the kind folk on our waterfront are still working - i am advised by local Tyrepower that the 19in Grabbers for my D4 SE will be in town on Monday and will be fitted on Tuesday next week!

To Craig of Mt Martha - will be more than happy to show you when they are fitted.

General Grabber AT are here and fitted today.

Good news. The tyres have arrived and first impressions are favourable. They certainly make the car look a lot more 'purposeful'. In the limited kilometers so far road noise is not appreciably increased from the OEM wranglers. Handling feels assurred. Time will tell.

    Hi Duke4,

$296 each and l purchased 5. I think it's always good policy to have a matching spare. So far so good .......

    Regards Trif.
