    D1 tdi 2" Body Lift

Tim and I met at Marks place (he has carport ) to give my D1 a 2" body lift. Here some before and after pics.

Many thanks guys for helping out, we managed to do a lot more than just the blocks. For those interested here is the list of stuff:

    1) Alloy body blocks (10.7 or 11mm centres)
    2) 8.8 M10 140mm bolts and nylocks
    3) Seat belt mount extensions
    4) 2" bolt (cut off head) and long 10mm nut for transfer lever
    5) welded 3" flat plate onto radiator top mounts to drop and use orignal mounting holes
    6) Brackets to lower fuel filter (fuel line too tight to leave in standard spot)
    7) Steering shaft extender block (bought through JC)
    8) 50x50 square tube for under seat/cargo are supports

    Cost all up: $310 (approx)

I think thats it. It sure made a difference as you can see from pics.

    Cheers,

    Talking looks great

it makes a huge difference to the ride height and will easily fit 33's under there now Carlos

Pete has the 4.11's and I am sure we can source some flares

oh, thanks for welding my bullbar too while you were here, much appreciated

That looks good! heaps of clearance now!

Can you tell me the size of the current tyres in the picture, so I can get an idea of relative proportions. Cheers.

Certainly is much better now for clearance. Current tyres are 245x75x16, will be going up to 265x75x16 when cash permits
