I had planned to do this to BUB002,, but the new one has (had?) several visits already and a visit during rego inspection might have upset someone-- namely me!
I did things a little different to the procedure in TGO,,
I disconnected all brake lines,
the four outlets dont leak so no concerns there, the two inlets do however, but only drips and easily contained.( I actually left it disconnected overnight,,)
With the module sitting on the kitchen table the bottom plate removal was much easier, even with LR's loctite! this would have been a bastard in the car!
The centre plug wiring was cut close to the plug and the plug re-inserted.
The wiring added to the plate should be TINY! as in very small wire size.
If you turn the plate over the two square holes in the raised centre are your outlet holes! I had to drill mine out a bit, not a real concern but not necessary either.
The new earth lead should be long,, I cut mine to around 25 cm and the only easy earth I could find was the Modulator mount,, and I had to scratch the paint off that!
Because of the brakeline disconnection I had to bleed the brakes. So, reconnect 3 output lines, then a gentle push on the pedal (engine running) will bleed the module for this line, (beware Brake fluid!!) reconnect that line and undo the next, and so –on. Then a quick Powerbleed and alls well.
This really is a simple fix.
Had a quick play down the local park and it all worked as per the manual,,
And it didnt cost me a zac.![]()
