Christmas Present for my D2: Engine oil cooler

Well, Found some oil in the coolant a while ago. Being a tight sphincter type, I baulked at the ~$1200 LR wanted for replacement matrix assembly and associated gaskets and ó'rings.
The original matrix had some corrosion pin-holes around a washer wedged into the side of the core. So small, yet un-repairable : ((
My search for alternatives led me to Aluminium and Radiator Engineering ( ARE Cooling (Aluminium Radiators & Engineering P/L)) in Brendale( NW Brisbane). I was familiar with their leading work from my petrol powered days and have never heard a bad word about them.
A chat with Richard had me satisfied that they could help me for less than $600 for a new heat exchanger YAY

Soooo: ARE can supply these heat exchangers for AU$590 +p&p with O rings. (Note: mine used the original banjo fittings, hence the corrosion. Subsequent units will have machined (new) fittings)
Compare the extruded core versus OEM sandwiched plate= no seam weakness
    From Roverparts plus:
Gaskets, Exhaust studs, etc., etc., and a few mentos to celebrate the finished job (Thanks guys, nice touch)
All in loc by Last thu am, re-assembled by Thu night, Ready to ferry the family around for Chrissy visits!!

Very nice work on the heat exchanger and a perfect fit!!

    Dave.
