Hey Guys
The natural resonence of a Td5 is at 2200 rpm so with that in mind the areas of concern are the harmonic balancer, the drive plate in the transmission (can only see with the transmission removed), missfire but will vibrate through the whole range, engine mounts and the positioning, drive flanges and tailshafts to name a few.
Now that you have sorted through some of the issues you need to know when the vibration started, was it after a repair or a 4wd run or a significant event then you can start crossing out the ones you know are right.
Hopw this helps
Regards
Peter

I bet it is the drive plate, Td5 auto's are shockers for vibrations and most cases I have heard of it is the drive plate.
Remove the box and inspect the drive plate.

My drive plate was perfect,
The only things i havent replaced are the harmonic balancer which looks to be ok. I posted a little while ago asking if anyone had a spare i could try out before spending $900 on a new one and the vibration still being there. That would be very annoying! Unfortunatly no one has a spare.
Thanx. Michael.
