    Water in cab problem

I'm finding water almost constantly soaking the carpet in the front of the cab (03 D2A td5 auto), seems to be coming from either side of the centre console up under the front dash. Copped a burst of decent "build-up" rain today and there was plenty of water soaking the carpets. I can't work out what it is, but I think there are three possibilities:
    1. Leaking from the a/c somehow, living in Darwin it is in constant use- i think most likely
    2. somehow being diverted from the windscreen washer and coming in to the cab

And a distant 3rd, leaking from the outside. I say distant third because all through the dry there was dampness in the carpets, although today after the rain there was more water than usual- possibly there is more than one factor here!

Well, it's not a priority really- the 3 amigoes plaguing me and the front lhs window motor that died are probably in the queue first. Oh yeah, and the windscreen wiper switch that has a weird delay- not funny when you get the tropical rain burst while over taking and can't see the bull bar let alone the road

I got 03 d2a too and sometimes i get a bit of moisture on my front passenger carpet too. I have rubber mats and it's not really big so i dont really worry yet. Could be coming from inside the doors. It only happens to me during cold mornings when i have a lot of condensation on windows. One time i had my disco submerged to the middle of the doors and didn't get any leaks so it's probably coming from the seals on the bottom of the window.

and about the windscreen wiper switch... stalk switches for lights and wipers can sometime become intermittent, i think there's a tutorial somewhere on how to fix it

Whats you rubber seal like at the bottom windscreen finisher? This is the cause of my leaks to the passenger side.

Sounds like your a/c drains are blocked, and your wiper switch is on the way out.

Clean the drains and refurbish, or replace, the switch.

X2 this, also the drain rubbers that sit either side of the consol can crack or split and deteriate, they may need replacing.

Lift the bonnet, and on the drivers side you will see where the window wiper motor is located, then look on the passenger side, this hole is where a left hand drive wiper motor would live, it is blocked by a panel and has a rubber seal. When water builds up in the plenum tray during a down pour and rises to the bottom lip it seeps past the rubber seal.
I had major leaks in both the D1 & D2 from here.
Solution run a bead of sikaflex sealant around . Problem disappeared

Yeah they aren't great- might smear some silicone over these

Any idea what's involved with replacing the switch? And how many $$? Might see if I can get something from TRS. I read somewhere about needing to remove an airbag? Starting to sound a bit specialist...

Where do the a/c drains exit the cabin? My a/c stinks on start up and I'm thinking the drains are blocked (but not yet leaking inside the cabin) and I've not seen the telltale water pool under the vehicle after running. I've tried finding the drain under the vehicle and had thought it came down above and near the front cardin joint on the front drive shaft but I can't see it.

Any advice appreciated and a photo would be great.
