    Land Rover Service in Broome

    I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't find it.

    Who/where is the bloke in Broome who services land Rovers? My daughter in Derby is looking to have hers done the next time she's in Broome.

    No, I think it was an independent that had been recommended.

    Otherwise she can get it done by a 4WD workshop in Derby. I spoke to the ex-LR authorised service agent in Derby when I was up there and he wanted nothing to do with them. He seemed to be content sitting behind his desk in a spare parts place that didn't seem to have any customers.

    He was totally uninterested in helping me find a good mechanic.

    The official service agent is Shinju Motors on Guy St.
    However Simon at Broome Motors on Clementson St used to be the head mechanic at a Perth Landy Dealer and is very good.
    The Derby guy sounds typical of Derby Businessmen and their attitudes who whinge and bitch that nobody will spend money in Derby.

    PM BroomeDefender. He lives there and knows a few of the locals, especially for LR repairs. ShinJu doesn't deal with LR anymore, but still fixes them. BTW, Broome Fire and Rescue just got a Defender for a toy firetruck! Ask Dan about how it compares with the Tojo it has joined.

    After my two experiences there I will not spend one cent in that place. It should be cut off and floated out to sea as far as I am concerned.

    The local caravan park and motel owners ruined our 25th wedding anniversary.
