Going to be pretty tight around the front drive shaft with exhaust down pipe, sump clearance and allison auto. Need this bloody diff to get hear so i can get cracking on the exhaust.
Yeah, i think the Duramax and Allison will be a nice combo together and will be interesting too see how the thing drives. Better pull my finger out.

    Thanks Gaz
what salisbury? if its a 101, you do know they are 6 stud drum brakes, and pitted chrome fixed swivel hubs standard?

If its a 110 armoured its fine though. Although i dont know what cvs and axles they run though (i hope its not 10 spline).

one day i will post up my sals shave job, its 7mm between the edge of the crownwheel and the bottom of the diff. (1mm clearance, and 6mm thick bottom plate) .

IMHO a 2 piece front shaft makes it much easier to position the driveshaft where you want it. It is pretty easy to do aswell.

Edit, i just saw all those front sals on the ebay uk site. How much was shipping? That is a cheap axle, for what seems to be a bolt in conversion.

    Update

Well i have finally had some progress! Have built a shed and finally got the toy out of the weather. Diff arrived and finally pulled it out of the crate to put it in. I am going to sand blast it and then put it in to see how i am going to go with diff to sump clearance. Cheers Gaz

    Radiator install

Got a radiator and intercooler made so started mocking it up for fitment. Waiting on some pipe to arrive so i can plump it up. Busy weekend ahead. Also put a swampy on the roof of the shed as its been bloody hot up here. Got to plumb it and wire it yet so will do that first so no excuse for not having a go on working on the ute

Managed to get a late model bonett to clear engine grid heater and also recieved today a complete dash and A/C from a 2007-8 defender.
