Some pics of todays efforts.
Some rust on the floors and the top of the fire wall, but nothing else, chassis is mint with no rust at all.

SupporterHi, just joined up and plan to show you through the restoration I'm going to undertake on my Series 3 tray. I am the Son of Bacicat and he will be assisting me at times.
The resto will be from the ground up and I plan to take about 2 years to complete this. Although the vehicle has been around for a while, it only came home yesterday. Here are some pics of it.
I'm sure I will be requiring help from everyone here along the way.

For those interested, the history of this vehicle before it made it home is in this thread - The Leg Work Begins
Also we had trouble getting the pics on his computer - I'll fix these up and upload a larger file size so you can see what's going on.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
A big welcome to the forum and land rover ownership.
I started with a series 3 when I was 16 and grew from there and unfortunately so many things change when your young(as I'm sure they always do regardless of your age).
2 years is a nice goal and very achievable.
You have a nice straight vehicle there to begin with which is good.
Rust is a pain but can be repaired just have to take it a step at a time.
Looking forward to seeing your progress and wish you all the best with it
Welcome to the forum! there is plenty of help and info to be found/had here! Although I think you might have a very good source helping you already (possibly you would wish he didn't help so much at times)
I will 2nd what Landysmurf said.
I'm working on a series 3 as well - a little bit further along than you but at the rate you have pulled that thing apart then you will soon be overtaking me! I haven't set a time limit to complete my build but I hope it doesn't take more than 2 years. If you want to see what I've done so far - Nick's 1975 Series 3 SWB
Good luck with your build.
Welcome to the forum and series ownership
