discrimination takes all shapes and forms today ,my point is instead of going off about the way others spell or punctuate you have 2 options .Do something positive to change it.......or,if you are not prepared to do this then don't chastise them for it but back to the issue at hand . let em have their animated avatars

However - the Avatars with really flickery things can and do annoy me if only due to their distraction.

'On the border' sexual moving Avatars (like bouncing boobs for example) really annoy me too - you can't get away from sex stuff anywhere!!!

yup so did i by the look of the poll animation is here to stay........

1. Maybe i can't spell but at least I try to punctuate & capitalise.
2. Too early to tell - may be some late comers or postal voters. Are teh results so far statisticlaly significant? Bit like federal election........
3. Perhaps some with the animated avatars could explain what they mean.
4. Does putting your opinion in large bold letters mean that you want to shout it out or just shout the person down?

I can live with one or two errors, but to read through a whole response littered with spelling and grammatical errors, well it has me gnashing my teeth by the end.

If you're smart enough to notice the mistakes, you're smart enough to translate the mangled English. It's a conscious decision to be upset by it - focusing on a negative aspect of what most likely was a positive attempt to communicate.

In my opinion, I reckon the forums members do a great job of communicating. I'm thankful that these people share their knowledge and assist when I need help. I'd hate to think someone wouldn't post out of fear they wouldn't meet certain "standards".

Case in point: sneaky possessive apostrophes sneaking in where they don't belong - hardly the end of the world (And I'm sure there's a few flaws in my reply.)

As for animated avatars, after years of practice ignoring animated banner ads on webpages, I hardly notice them

Firstly yes I am smart enough, degree qualified and running my own business, would be a reasonable indicator. Secondly, I'm not getting upset, there is a difference between upset and annoyed, hence rather than take over this thread have created my own. If you can tell me that it is a positive attempt to communicate in the example I have there, then I will pull my pants down and run around my office
