			Castrol RX vs RX Super?

Perhaps one for Rick, but I'm curious about the differences, not so much technically but more importantly practically for a 300Tdi.

Slightly better detergency and wear protection with RX-Super over RX, but whether you see anything in practice ??

Having said that, IMO the Tdi is hard on oil.
Oil cooling is limited and the sump smallish for the power output and work load required of a small engine in a heavy vehicle.
It might be an efficient direct injected engine, but IME it punishes oil compared to say a Patrol with the big, old, lazy and supposedly dirty and inefficient indirect injected TD42T.
It helps to use the best oil you can afford and tailor change intervals to the work load.

The old rules of thumbs apply.
Lots of stop/start city driving or heavy off road work or mid/heavy loads and high speed work reduce your oil change interval.
No load/lightly loaded and cruisy highway stuff at 80-100km/h, 10,000km oil change intervals should be achievable with an API CI-4 oil like RX or better.
