Air Con drains - Disco S1

How do I check the A/C drains to diagnose if they're blocked and how to unblock it? I have a S1 Disco and I have been hearing an intermittant noise like water behind the instrument binacle I have posted this on a previous thread, the coolant level is ok so next I need to check the a/c.

Crawl under the car ( take a torch ) . On either side of the hump over the gearbox you will see two rubber tube things poking through. These are the drain tubes. Poke with a bit of wire or something up them. This will clear them ( move your head aside - if it is full it can come out with a bit of a gush. )

These quite easily block if you are travliing on dusty roads a lot.

Your symptoms don't sound like the tubes though - normally wet carpet is and a sort of "splurting" sound when the aircon is on the first indication.

You may have a leaky winsdscreen ???
