    td5 Disco 2 AC compressor, pully bearing's

Ok need to ask a question for my brother who is in the UK

"My pully bearing has gone and its squels when cold.

I need to replace it, I've been told its a unit replacment but thats £400 ish + tax then re-gassing is another £65 + tax . The problem is its only the little sealed bearing on the pully.

has anyone just replaced the bearing"

    Cheers

Yep, these are easy, just a standard puller will do it, if you don't have a puller even a rubber mallet will do if you take it steady.

............and you don't need to do a re gas either,

    It's a standard Timken / GKN bearing

If it was here I would also go to OEX / Ingrams - but in the UK , long time since I lived there.

...........but the bearing should have the numbers stamped on it
