Thread: Engineering a lift - Perth

Contact TransportWA or whatever they call themselves these days.Take NO NOTICE OF WHAT THEY TELL YOU,I did and now have a Toy in the shed which is basically not licenceable,has the lift you speak of.
Get their list of Engineers and discuss it with one of them.Basically its just not easy to do,the lane change test is VERY EXPENSIVE.

Ouch! Thanks for that though...I'll get the list and see where it leads me.

(hypothetically of course) It's just bloody annoying really, the kit is incredibly well designed and the guy that installed it did brilliant job. I'd probably say the vehicle in question handles as well, if not better, than stock.

My concern is really only from an insurance POV. ...and I'd like to do it with the D2 as well!

Insurance are private companies and if the law states no higher then 50mm above standard for a road registered vehicle all the engineers certificates will not help you in a claim ,they will get out of a claim if they can. Easy thing phone up your insurance and itemise a 100mm lift on your vehicle...wait for the response.

Lol! Gee, the line must have dropped out...

We managed 2" on suspension and 2" on body on a 78 rrc. however we had to do the lane change test. If you can find someone who has already made the same mod and had it passed, you can skip the test.

you see these f trucks with a 6" lift on the roads and they are legal. As far as im aware they get an engineers certificte over east where is is much less strict, then you can bring it back to WA and have it passed
