    Pressure Bleeding Brakes

If you use this method >>>> bleeder <<<< to bleed the brakes, or clutch for that matter, through the reservoir cap, does the fluid just push through the master cylinder ? I'm assuming that you don't need to have the pedal in the depressed position or anything.........just pump it up and crack the bleed screw ????

I have a Gunson's Easy Bleed that works on the same principle - it takes the pressure from a tyre at 10 psi.

You just pressurise the system, then crack the bleed nipple. I use a syringe to take as much of the old fluid out of the reservoir first then top it up, to save pumping old fluid through the system.

Its not a bad idea to push through the old fluid so it is not in the system anymore

I'm fitting a whole new master cylinder, so that wont be a problem.

Er do not try this with a Range Rover Classic as all that will happen is that all the fluid will **** out the rubber grommets between the master cylinder and reservoir.
    Ask me how I know.
I use a Mityvac vacuum bleeder.

Buy a vacuum bleeder, you WON'T regret it

I used to pressure bleed, until I cracked a resevoir, turned the air tap the wrong way

I just pressurise with an inner tube from a push bike, doesn't take much and much less chance of damaging the reservoir.

I made a pressure bleeder from a cut down tubeless valve, some rubber fuel hose, a plastic bottle and an old clutch mc cap. Works well and cost $0.

Can fluid be pushed through an abs pump this way? Would this work on a D2?
