Even thought of flying over and renting a one way car trailer and bring the 2 vehicles back together. Unfortunately Shonky won't allow me to compete with him for the Sydney Land Rover Ambulance stakes!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Try "Door to Door".
Probably cost $1k to $1.5k to transport.
I've still got eight days two hours to think about it.

Yes but that would be $2K-$3K because I already have a Land Rover at TankRadio2's place. Hence the 101 and car trailer idea.

    Worth it.
If not for the 101, to give Shonky a bit of competition.

Jeez, I'd love it, but the cost of shipping it to ZA plus the hoopla of doing the import merry-go-round over here would kill me.

There can't be more than 5 FC101's in South Africa, so it does count as a collectable, but our government has put the lid on any imports to protect our car producers.

By the way, do you know the Toyota Corolla you buy in Oz is made in South Africa.....and CHEAPER than what we can get it for? Go figure.....

Buggar about the Government limiting imports, but rather hypocritical when they export cars.
Did you know that until the early 2000s our Defender xtremes also used to be made in South Africa?

Well sort off but I got confused when you were talking about a second vehicle so I assumed you were talking about driving over.

So what is this second vehicle then? I cannot see where this has come from.

    Cheers

That is a Mod FFW 109 I bought off Phil ages ago. Unfortunately the free backload along with the Scammel Contractor for someone else has run into a few hurdles when the company taking equipment over to the goldfields hasn't had the go ahead, hence no load, no backload.

Investigations are continuing with other carriers, but picking up a prime mover without an engine is a problem.
