Just out of curiosity, where does search for a 101FC. They're beautiful vehicles and I wouldn't mind one when I discover wealth.

That one passed in on eBay last week for $18,100. I had a hope for $18,000 but given the above is $24K didnt stand much of a chance. more the pity, dont mind green.

These are really silly prices for 101's.
This one just sold for $5964
This one for $8201
Yes in the Uk, but still cheaper with the import....
In Aust, the Brit 101s are not worth nearly as much as the Aust 101s. Is it really worth the costs and hassles of going to the UK, looking, buying, transporting with associated taxes etc.
Anthony Johnson Land Rover 101 - British 4wd Imports - Home Page in Melbourne usually has one for sale, is buying some in the UK for sale in Aust or knows where one is for sale in Aust so I would be checking with him.
Other than that, 101s come up for sale quite regularly in Aust. Need to follow ebay, the 4x4 magazines that are all adverts, carsales etc

I have a silly advenure of wanting to go to the UK, getting one, and driving it back to Aust. Politically stupid in know, but adventure no doubt.

Sounds like a wonderful idea! I would love to join that expedition if enough advance notice was possible... say 3-5 years! Lot's of pennies to save and gonads to enlarge before doing it.
It sort of makes me wonder how safe a trip it would be taking a vehicle primarily recognizable as a armed forces machine through the countries between UK and here.
Might pay to paint them G4 orange before leaving!
