As I suspected, drill out the rivets. Pity that panel isn't bolted/screwed on.

Big time PITA comes to mind - something I would prefer to forget.

Still waiting on 101Club to get back to me on the fuel filler hose. They are great value, and volunteers, so I shouldn't be too impatient
The fuel hose is weaping fuel pretty badly so really can only splash in 20 litres at a time.
Can anyone recommend a tape that is fuel resistant, so I can do a temporary patch?

    Now a question on Lights.

The 101 has some LED side/indicator and tail lights. They are ok but look a bit tacky up close. I would like to return it to screw in type.

    A couple of questions.

Do these two types have the same base?

The reason I ask is I have a few of the smaller screw in type side lights (top) and wondering if I can just buy the bigger orange lens for indicators.
There seems to be two types fish-eye and flat?

Been reading all about Ron's (and then Garry's) Detroit lockers. Mmmm sounds like something for Santa to bring. That exchange rate makes things look very attractive at the moment. Saw this one on evilbay....<<must keep finger off "buy it now button">>>

When I finally get 'em off, you can have them. Just remember, I work about as quick as a Volvo in the right hand lane!

Fuel filler pipe on. What a bugger of a job. Hope not to have to tackle that one again soon.

Bought myself a Detroit Locker from GBR in the states. I hear they have stopped making the 101 version so thought I would bring forward my Chrissy present a few months.

Detroit Locker arrived today. . It's a bit beyond my level of competence so will be investing the help of my mechanic on fitting that onel..
Bought it from GBR Utah USA - Bill was helpful and the parcel arrived promptly. Gotta love that exchange rate. (Sorry about contributing to our foreign debt )

28 degrees in Melbourne today (yes we occassionally get some good weather) so went for a spin along the beach. (well the bitumen next to the beach).

She's running well, just a small weep from the top of the radiator. Will have to keep an eye on that. Also need to get the CDL operating - haven't had time for that one just yet. I can see some of the vac lines are crimped by cable ties, so hopefully something simple like that. Vac lines looking a bit old and brittle, I am considering replacing with the stiff plastic lines used on ARB difflocks - not sure if I can get the right diameter hose though.
