hi all
well we are all back safe and sound after some 4500 kms little tour of the out back, we went with a 101, 1976 rrc , 1989 rrc and off to dubbo then to tibooburra then up camerons corner ten over to the stizelecki track then down to maree lake eyre , arkaroola then down to wilpena pound the off to broken hill then home. well thats the over view , now to details ... the 101 went like a dream hummed along at 100/105 kms per hour with a no 5 on the back full of fuel running on gas !! wow what a difference the new engine make bit of a game changer
a bit scary at times only broke an exhust pipe on a grid going in to tibooburra but a bit of a tig weld all good, the only other problem was on the camerons corner rd was that on of my lads rolled the 89 what a mess bit of a write off
now down to to cars .. the old 76 started making a thurst bearing noise oh well wich only got worse
the 101 was great on the open road only doing 20 litres or so per 100 on gas
will try to post some pics good to be home

Great stuff Iain - shame about the RRC - the guy must be devastated.
Nice to see you have the 101 sorted and it is running well and easily did the trip.
Cheers
