The bracket bolts/screws to the back of the front bumper on the passenger side.

To be specific - there are two tabs spot welded to the back of the front bumper and the bottle bracket bolts to those. The top tab and and where the bottle bracket bolts to it is visible in my pic if you blow it up.

Thanks heaps - that actually makes it really easy - given I have a compressor mounted already for endless air - I'll ditch that old unit and fit a new compressor there, all the other stuff is pretty easy from there. I'll measure up and pull the entire current heater assembly and fit one of the underdash heat/cool units and plumb that in.

My basic four outlet unit - I have since put adjustable eyeball vents into the holes. The white fittings are standard pvc hardware store fittings which take the warm air to the windscreen defrost vents via standard airvent pipe. No flaps - just close (or partially close) the eyeball vents to direct air up to the windscreen - system does need the inbuilt fan to be running. Yoiu can use the original fan and flap in the tunnel to direct fresh air into the cabin an into this units fan or close the original fan/flap to get recirc.

That’s the unit that caught my eye as being something that would work well and not look out of place. Isn’t as an expensive exercise as I thought either. Just need the time to sort it. 👍😉

Finally got around to fitting some vents up front - GF said it would be better with AC - who am I to argue? 😁

I think they look pretty good and should be a nice improvement.

Also went over everything from front to back, checked everything I’d worked on, greased the prop shafts, checked and topped up all fluids. Remounted the coolant recovery bottle. Went to take it for a test drive and found my clutch pedal had gone completely now - had been a bit of an issue is the last few days but I thought it was just air in the system even though I couldn’t get any out when bleeding it but seems to be more than that. Today’s job was going to be pulling the slave and master cylinders to see what’s going on but moving some timber this morning I’ve pulled a muscle in my back so I’m layed up on the couch and can’t move so that pretty much puts any chance of getting Chucky to Corowa next weekend to bed. 😥

So close to pulling that little miracle off but last time I did this to my back I was stuffed for days so I think crawling around under Chucky isn’t going to happen. Was also booked in for a new exhaust system on Wednesday but that too looks out if I can’t move. I think I could drive it down the street without the clutch no dramas, just my back may stop me from getting in and out...

Will see what transpires over the coming days, but looks like I’ll be in the Hilux and a tent next weekend.

you have my total sympathy having injured my back in a boating incident 18mths ago.....now a recurring issue

consider clinical pilates for a massive improvement if you can.
