My favourite 101 - sounds like it has had a couple of nice additions.

I would have thought that seat belts would still be connected as in the GS version though I am not familiar with the internal layout of a Radio Body.

Also I am sure the construction of the roof will be along similar lines to Series Landrovers and the door frames will be definitely the same as other 101s but hard connected to the hard top. Looking at a series 3 wagon on how their seatbelts are connected to the hardtop may gives clues if you chose to not use the 101 positions on the rear cabin bulkhead.

We definitely want pics when you are able.

    Cheers

The issue is not what I would accept...it is what the certifying engineer will accept

Why do you need an engineer?? (maybe disk brakes but unless you told the authorities they were not standard they would not know the difference).

Other 101s in Aust unless heavily modified do not need engineering to be registered. Surely the standard mounting points for the seatbelts are all that is required.

    Cheers

I think different places have different rules. Any vehicle that is bought into Australia needs some form of inspection or compliance to be able to be registered here. In Vic, that is a VASS certificate.

Mine was complianced in Queensland, and it has a modification plate for the seatbelts, so maybe the factory points are not suitable?

Only guessing here. Mine 3 point belts are anchored to the roll bar. Maybe it is the fact that it only has lap sash belts? Maybe they don't meet standards?

Anyway, I hope you get it sorted and on the road soon.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
