Hi Spongie, welcome to the forum.

Hope you find some useful information here for your 101. If you could start a thread and post some pics, I'm sure that everyone would appreciate it. We all love to see how our fellow 101 owners look after their pride and joys.

Just wondering if you are the Spongie who is the Six Stud editor for the 101 Club?

    Cheers - Gav

Hey Spongie, welcome to the southern lattitudes.
As has been said, post pics of your 101 in , as a suggestion, Spongie's 101 thread.
    We love pictures here.

If you see any pics I have taken that might be suitable for "Six Stud", PM me. I'd be happy to send you the higher resolution files.

Editor is a thankless job. Two of the clubs I belong to have trouble filling the mag editors position. It's a very important (probably the most important) position in a club.
I must say, although I don't read all that fine print, I eagerly wait for my copy of Six Stud and savour the articles. Don't read the committee guff though.

I always thought you should dissolve the caustic soda in water to remove the paint and rust.

This is the first time I have seen caustic soda piled up on the chassis, its very wasteful spreading it out over the ground as well!

    ???? What else could be?

    Salt would rust the chassis!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Ah! Spongie owns that one. I've seen pics of it before quite some time ago.
I seem to remember exploratory surgury on the rear cross member. I find photo's of other peoples projects inspirational. All I have to do is work out how to transfer that inspiration to my projects.
I see Spongie has put some orange paint on it since I last saw pics. I know another Landy enthusiast in the UK who has a thing for orange.

Nice to see you have come down south to join in the banter.

Yes Dianna, he's rather messy with the caustic. It can't be good for the lawn.

Too true, had't thought about burning the grass!
