ADR report consists of me paying an engineer a few hundred dollars to do a basic compliance check. Has your 101 been registered previously in the country? Its sounding more and more like a lucky dip when you go for an inspection...

I think they are treating you as the importer Stu, I just told
them I bought mine from qld and have the sales contract from 1994 when previous owner bought it.
don't know if it's been registered before in Aus or not.
Some of the guys restoring series landies reckon as long as you have a receipt of purchase or stat dec, they don't ask for anything else.
That seems quite likely Ian. I bought mine off the original private importer and he had the engineer check done and had it certified so it has a compliance plate of some sort attached to the tunnel near the VIN data plate. I'll use the same argument as you in that I bought it from Victoria and it was registered on club plates. Hopefully should be a breeze as I have a receipt from the purchase as well as the Vehicle Import Approval and even all the MOT inspection reports from the UK!

Good work!! Now the fun begins!
Nice work! Perfect weather to be driving around like that too! Just need a hat :o
Took Onesie for its first decent run this morning ( about 40 km ) from work to home with a couple of detours. I must confess after the short runs I've done in it I was a bit concerned about how it would handle in the faster traffic.
Now it's home I cant stop smiling, it drives and handles better going a bit
faster, it's nice and confatable at 90 km and doesn't seem to wander as much as when it's doing 50 or 60.
It's interesting to hear all the panels resonating at different speeds.
its also amazing how much debris, leaves and sticks get sucked in without the roof on too, it was like someone was in the back chucking the stuff at me:)
Realy struggle to find 2 nd gear on the down shift although to be honest once it's moving 3 rd and 4th are all you need.
There was an overwhelming smell of melting plastic as I powered up the hill out of Perth and was about to stop and jump out with the fire extinguisher but the smell went, must have been some other Landy in the neighbourhood.
Think it's time to go out for another drive now :D
Aaarrrgghhh. I can't wait to be legal and come out with you and Stuee. Just have this pesky race in South America to get out of the way and I'll be all over the 101 in February:cool:.
I`ve not been driving the 101 as much as I would have liked at the moment due to the intense sun and having no roof. So I`ve had a nice little sun shade and matching seat covers made up by a local trimmer.
The transformation is amazing, the canvass seat covers are nice and cool to sit on and the sun shade gets rid of the nasty sun but still lets you absorb the surroundings.
Pretty flash seat covers, roof is a bit like a bimini for a boat .
