New Detroit locker source for 101's???

Do mine eyes deceive me or are these what I think they are???
    http://www.americanraceparts.com/pro...at225sl183.htm

I have no ill will towards Bill at GBR Utah, but is there any reason why I shouldn't buy a Detroit for $250 less than he's offering??? I'm told that this is the correct part number:22SL183

A quick search of the number on Google yields other suppliers as well

I really hope I'm not missing something....

    Thanks Mike.
As has been asked in another forum, do the 101 half shafts have the same 22 splines? If it is the same part number, I would expect so. Maybe buy one (If you're going to anyway) and let us know how you go.

PS: the link is fixed now Simon.

Here's a pic of the tag that was on mine.. Matches the number quoted, and I've just checked the spare CV's for the front of the 101 that I have and they are 22 spline.... So in theory u should b right. The pic in you're link (which now works) is not of a 101 locker tho.. It should resemble the one a few pics below which has a bolt holding it together with a wing nut, and 4 pins sticking out of it!!

New Detroit locker source for 101's???

Well I half expect the picture to be a "generic" pic of a typical detroit. As I've been seeing, very little is typically generic on these trucks lol

Oh and Mick, with any luck it should be at my door in about a week!

Not sure what their international shipping policies are... If anyone is interested and they can't offer a solution, I don't mind playing the middle man role

New Detroit locker source for 101's???

Well then... I thought it was to good to be true and it wound up being so. They didn't actually specify if it was in stock or not. And so they are out of stock,

There are one or two other vendors that actually offer them and list them as "in stock" so I'll try another one and let you know

EDIT: yep. Even though the people had them listed as in stock, they were just unaware that they were discontinued and they didn't have any. Sorry for the false alarm guys. I probably will go through gbr. And I'll be sure to take pics and whatnot

I've got a couple from Bill. I found him really easy to deal with. There was another fellow on this site from Victoria, Sleepy, who got one from Bill and had it installed. Now owned by rovercare.
