101 No Power to Fuel Pump

The vehicle is a 24v 101 - it has long had the system where the fuel pump does not run until the engine has oil pressure bypassed.

I have no power to the fuel pump, the fuel pump itself runs fine with power directly applied. Now my understanding is that the fuel gauge is on the same basic circuit and it works OK. I have checked the four fuses up under the dash and they are OK.

Any suggestions from 101 people on where to look further?

    Thanks

    Hi Garry,

According to the repair manual there's a suppressor box on the fuel pump............. it's the rectangular box with four screws in the top of the lid. Dunno how reliable those things are and I dunno if you were applying direct power straight to the pump or through the box

I have the complete repair manual, plus the complete parts manual plus all the amendments on pdf, but it's way too big to email.

    cheers, David L

Hi David and thanks for the response - yes there is the suppressor box but there is no power to the entire system but there is still to the fuel sender/gauge. I am about the backtrack the wiring until I get power but was hoping I might get an answer before starting that process. Putting power straight to the fuel pump shows it is not a pump issue.

I have the manuals and according to that there are parts of the wiring that are shared by the fuel pump and gauge - so will have to start back tracking.

    Thanks
