I checked my parts manual which indicates that in the mid 70s the seal was unique to the 101.  That is logical as the axles are larger than the series 3 so therefore the rear hub assembly (which also has unique 101 part number) certainly would have a bigger hole and face that the seal would seal against.
I would also support what Ron has said about Anthony at British 4wd Imports in Melbourne.  I have bought a lot of stuff from him and his prices have always been very good.  Likewise if there are alternatives he is not backward in suggesting them.
