Thread: Isuzu truck info

Well I'm looking at buying a second hand NPR 200 in the late 2000 range, anyone know much about them, they have the 155HP 5.2L which should move ok I would suspect, I'm wondering whether to bother with a automated tranny and if they have problems? any other problems this things have? a friend of mine runs 2 trucks as opposed to vans and seems to think its the way, so I will add this to the fleet as opposed to another van

I think your pretty right with those isuzus.. They are fairly bullet proof, however I've driven a few of the automated boxes in them and I find them very frustrating.. I'm pretty sure they are a manual box with an auto changer on them.. There is a big delay in changing up gears and driving around in urban areas can be a tedious process..
Why not go to Kennards and hire an NPR for half a day? They all have the auto boxes on them and it will give you an idea on how they perform.
