Not very confident that my attempt at posting photos has worked.

Pictures aren't great Kenleyfred but they are good enough. You second picture (from the top) shows your tow bar. What brand is it? I am in the market for a tow bar but most that I have see would would pass for a plough at the back end.

    You in the UK karl??

Only reason I ask is I can't say I have come across any ploughs here in OZ for defenders,, only ploughs I have seen have been in the UK
Genuine tow packs and hayman reece recover hitches are the popular ones here

    G'day dullbird

I'm actually in Canberra. I am in the process of getting a new Defender (hope to pick it up next week) and the only thing offered by the dealer was the Mullti-height Tow Bar (PN LR006309 - http://assets.config.landrover.com/l...06309.jpg?11wy). The Hayman Reece one is OK but I am looking for something that minimises the loss of departure angle. Maybe I'm too fussy or haven't looked hard enough.

Karl befor we go any further you getting a 110 or 130 if your getting a 110 a hayman reece or genuine will be the only way to go and your not going to get anything better unless you fit somthing direct to the crossmember which I really would not reccomend. The departure angle on a 110 is crap anyway and I would far rather a tow bar there taking the brunt of the rough than my fuel tank

Neither dullbird, getting a 90; and realise that may be problematic at least in the short term.

Even so I would still get hayman... I have a 90 to with a dixon and bates but that hangs down more than a hayman...

A mate if mine also had a hayman on his 90 with no issues and he wasn't frightened of using his so unless your talking really extreme..

Make sure you post your pics when you get it in here!!
