Guess they are available somewhere as we got a full brand new set with our Series III, but welded plates over the rust holes in our old ones, rather than putting the new ones on.

If you can't find any, I have a 110 chassis in good shape that might be suitable as a donor. It has no engine mounts, but otherwise it seems to be rust free.

I have a '97 build Defender 130 with 8'' extended ute cab. In Australia these were modifications done by local body builders - mine by Peter L Smith Engineering which I gather is in Sydney. The cab is supported by standard looking outriggers which have been welded on between the two original ones on each side. The latter are not used. Could provide extra support if I get around to installing rock sliders.

May be worth checking if Peter L Smith Engineering is still there and has some lying around or know where they may be obtained at non exhorbitant price.

Otherwise, could look for good outriggers owner will cut off unrepairable damaged Defender chassis. Wreckers, particularly Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide may have some.

Should also be possible, but not necessarily economically viable for someone with adequate metalworking skills and gear to make functional copies of original parts.

My outriggers will retain the standard posi, I have the chassis the cab is on, and also Vern has a chassis at his place with outriggers I could cut off, I could also fabricate, but time is of the essence, just trying to speed things up, If I can source some newies prior to being home on the weekend, I'd be a happy chappy!
