I was looking at the 'good oil' section and realised that I never did come back to this thread. I apologise for that!

There is a full write up at: 4WD'ing – The family way | Get on out there!!! under the topic Defender - the job was done in conjunction with sealing the floor, laying form-ply and adding carpet.

But basically I moved the two seats outboard to fit the centre seat in properly. Because of the form-ply and carpet it actually raised the seats slightly as well. The seating position isn't too bad, although I'm probably used to it now. I would probably have problems with it if I was a bigger fella though.

Overall it was a very worthy modification that was done with some great help from people on this site.
