Yes I have to say so far so good we have had good dealing with this new guy was very good with calling us back etc...

we also told him about our steering problem, (he is the 4th person) however I dont know whether anything was touched because the problem was still very evident on the first pick up from the gear box,, but after getting it back from the second pick up of the gearbox I have not felt it since!:eek:......

so no one indicated that something to the steering was done....but problems that now happen on a daily basis I'm sure just don't disapear:o

there is only 3 explanations for this

1. They have done something and not told us and it has fixed the problem
2. Its because the temperature has cooled down as in the begining before it started doing it daily it only used to do it on hot days
3. voodoo magic!!

I prefer voodoo magic as it sounds cooler:D

However I still dont feel like brakes are right...perhaps I need to invite Mahn round for another coffee so I can have a drive of his...perhaps I was just a little too spoilt with the FL2...:)

Well a Ristretto for me please...apparently if I am to believe what is opined here Puma owners should only drink Latte. ;)

I had a very minor weep from the steering box which was fixed with the nipping up of a connection.

My brakes seem fine. The Disco's weren't as good as the Fender's.

yeah neither are my disco's its just last time it came out of the garage the brakes didn't feel right to me.....however I was without the car for 4 weeks and driving something that had very sharp brakes so maybe that's it..still you think I would of been used to it by now having driven the defender for the last 2 weeks...

But still when going down hills it just feels hard to slow down and I'm only talking from 60/70 not big speeds..

I guess I will get used to it again:)

snap on the gearbox and trans scallops they have had my car for nearly 4 weeks..

3 weeks to take out the gearbox and trans send off for repairs..the 4th week was when I picked it up when it was ready to go and couldn't get the car in or out of 5th without a battle...so guess what the car that was ready to go and all good got 20mins down the road and went back in for another week to have the gearbox out for the second time and to be sent off to be fixed for a second time...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fixed fixed ...it's a brand spanker they should replace the parts ie: new gearbox or its like been buggered with they so suck and they never have parts in stock grrr

That is a common thing for car manufacturers these days. A few years back we needed a new power steering pump for our Subaru Liberty. None in the country and a six week wait for one from Japan. When questioned about this Subaru said they "Never" sell any of those so don't keep stock. We got a second hand one from the wreckers to keep the car mobile as the original pump had a bearing fail and the car could not be driven.

Having owned a Subaru Outback for 5 years, where not a single item needed to be fixed during the 5-year warranty period, I can actually forgive their logic. Land Rover on the other hand...
