Lotza do you hold with the adding talc?
Also on the final coat do you knock the paint back a final time so it is lustreless ?
or do you do that after a few weeks when the paint has had time to "toughen up priness"?

The interesting thing is that the people who mixed the Protec paint in Nowra, using Protec's computer program, couldn't find the Australian Camouflage Green but found the NATO green under Land Rover.

Protec's Minto NSW office had the pre-mixed ADF colour(s) in stock, in both bulk and aerosol cans. They say the Army is one of their biggest customers.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

No I have them add L47 flattening base which makes the paint lustreless from the gun.

From memory it's 100ml per litre if they have to mix.

The camouflage green used by the Australian Defence Force is quite different to the NATO green. If you look as Zulu Delta's 2009 image of my FFR and No5 (below) you will see that the FFR is in NATO green and the No5 in Australian Camouflage Green. (Both Protec supplied paints, Protec supplies premixed paints in the camo colours to ADF Holdworthy and Moorebank.)

The NATO green stands out like a sore thumb against our Australian landscape. Probably why the ADF doesn't use NATO green or Deep Bronze Green.
    Thanks for the info
