Brush bars and side steps Worth the money?

Folks tjm are the brush bars and steps I have been looking at they are not compatible with arb bar which is supposed to be better than tjm bar. Do you think brush bars and side steps are worth the money ? Or just stick an arb bar on only?
Ust trying to only price up parts etc I really need. I won't get a bigger fuel tank at this stage at $1380 for an extra 45 litres it's a little mire than I can afford straight up.

Bull bar tinted windows tray with water tank and maybe under tray tool boxes and maybe brus bars and steps. Have some 240 lf driving lights ready to go.

I have TJM bullbar and brushbars fitted to my 110 Defender wagon. They look good and are strong as well, makes it easy for the kids to climb in as the brushbars are also side steps, these also act as rock sliders as well. I think you would be happy with TJM products.

i removed my tjm brush bar and side steps and made up some rock sliders as they they flexed/bent and damaged a sill when i slid into a rut. i am yet to weld additional tube (tree fender) to help the kids get in and out, but as they are managing i'm in no rush

oh and the trip after removing the side bars i drove over a healthy sized stick, it kicked up and dented my guard so there are pros and cons which ever way you go

Personal opinion, TJM b/bar, b/rails & s/steps better than ARB bar alone. The TJM package will be stronger than just a b/bar as the s/rails & bars support the b/bar thereby giving it more strength than a b/bar alone.

i have ARB winch bar an TJM side bars they bolted up perfectly the side bars were 2nd hand i was told they were tjm

pc3 - Agreed. The TJM bush bar / sidesteps on my 130 ertainly mate up to my ARB bar no problems at all.

Yep exactl;y the same has happened to me and the sills look rubbish now

Hmm I was worried about that.

Is there a thread somewhere on your sliders as I'd like to make up a set for the 130 at some point.
