I don't know the s3 well enough but I know you can't use 2a locks on a more modern chassis - that's why I said 'check' :pQuote:

It's all a joke anyway when there are heaps of unlicenced boozed up idiots in rusty old pieces of **** on the roads and very little is done about them.
I have Series 3 doors on my 110. I had to change the striker plates on the B pillar to match the lock type on the older doors. From memory, I needed to drill a couple of new holes to mount the series 3 striker plates. They are still the anti burst type (unlike 2A doors). I wanted to be able to galvanise the door frame as well as the extra knee room and removable door tops (I leave the door tops off most of the time). Have had some hypothermic experiences when the weather has turned bad and the door tops were at home in the shed.:(
