These are HID lights, I can see the HID globes inside, and the ballasts are built inside the light also. It even say's HID on the lights, not that that means much.The main thing I looked for was a spread beam instead of spot beam. I think the spread beam pattern is more useful in the bush.
Again at the price I paid for them, they are a bargain, they look exactly like the ones that the 4 x 4 shops are selling, for 4x the price in Aus.
