    These are HID lights, I can see the HID globes inside, and the ballasts are built inside the light also. It even say's HID on the lights, not that that means much. The main thing I looked for was a spread beam instead of spot beam. I think the spread beam pattern is more useful in the bush.
    Again at the price I paid for them, they are a bargain, they look exactly like the ones that the 4 x 4 shops are selling, for 4x the price in Aus.

    I've had:
    Lightforce 170
    Hella Rally4000
    IPF Extreme Sport 900

    gave the lightforce to a mate when his were stolen
    sold the hellas to a mate for $250
    i still have the IPF and there isnt much i would attempt to replace them with
