Now that the deposit money from the house has come through, I'm doing the things that I have been putting off for a while.
1. Had the 90,000 k service done at FWD Motors in Brooklyn. Landy's and Jeeps, and they know their Land Rovers.
2. While in having the service, needed to update the front springs to HD King springs as the front was drooping due to winch and bar. 90k on the original shocks is a tad too long, so Bilsteins fitted all around also. The ride has been transformed! Was going to keep the old shocks as spares, but they didn't even extend on their own

Earlier in the week, I pulled the headliner out, and installed 10mm closed celled , aluminium backed insulation. Both for noise, and heat (we are moving to the beaches north of Cairns). I have outlined the rest of the insulation installation process in a pervious post "Sound insulation for Defender". In the process I shorted out the lights, and blew the radio fuse. Once sorted, the radio would not accept the security code, so off to get a new stereo head unit. End of Financial Year sales are on, so got a good deal on a Pioneer unit, with ipod input. Once I got the ISO to Pioneer adapter (thanks to the knowledge of this forum), was an easy install

.
So just about ready for the big move!!
My wife might even have a ride in it now.
Cheers,
Ken
