Picked up my Puma 110 station wagon last week and insurance was $534 with the RAA here in South Australia.

It will be difficult for you to get an accurate answer since there are so many variables.
    Do you have existing insurance?
Do you qualify for special deals?
Do you live in a low crime area?
    How old are you?
Is the vehicle usually kept in a locked garage? etc. etc.

More important for me was: Do I want to be insured by a large company with a good record? Yes and Yes again.
I could have got cheaper insurance from dodgy Fred down on the corner, but...

I have a question about accessories and insurance, specifically non ADR bullbars. Will an insurance company insure the vehicle if they know it does not have an ADR approved bullbar??

I was not asked who made/supplied the accessories.

All they wanted was a list and the price of each one.

Cheap is one thing - but just be sure your insurance will cover you in any situation you are likely to find your Defy in. So offroad mudholes, 4X4 parks, water crossings etc etc. Not all policies are the same.
