    Puma Vac Pump failure again

I did my first vac pump at 10000kms. The warranty replacement was still the Rev 0 version so as expected I have done the second one (at 33000 km). I have lately taken the precaution of carrying the latest Rev 2 version (LR part No. LRO14973) as a spare.
Has anyone yet had a failure with this vac pump or has the problem finally been solved (or is it still too early to say)?
The story that the problem was caused by dust in the seal is rubbish because mine saw negligible dust (sadly).

Mine which is the original 08 build is still ok after 2 years and 32,000 km and some dust. I'm touching wood as we are heading off to outback NSW in July.
