    Puma Service

    Hi guys.
Just got a price for a 40k service on a Puma defer. The Landrover dealer quoted $1200.They tell me its a major service with all filters, oils and fluids to be changed.Does these sound a little extreme(pardon the pun).Any comments?

40,000 is a B service see attached. Not all fluids are changed according to the Check List. However the dealer might do more than the schedule. It might be worth checking what is going to be done against this list.

Totally extreme - which is why I took mine to a LR specialist and got them to do that service - why donate LR another $700.00 - which is what I saved?

    X2

I nearly died when the dealer quoted me about that for the 40,000km service. So I went to MR and paid less than half! Honestly, dealers deserve to be driven out of business for the insane price gouging they get away with.

Pretty good Grock! But guess where my Defy is right now?

Got it in one - at the dealers for warranty work.

Same as above, not only are MR way cheaper, they also do a MUCH BETTER job.

I have NEVER had to go back to them with a problem due to the work they have done.

As to return trips to the stealers after having things half done, well we won't go there
