    immobiliser help

I cant start my Puma after disconnecting and reconnecting the alarm module while looking for the remote antenna wire (I was looking to extend it for better remote range).I cant open or close the doors remotely either. Does anyone know if disconecting the module upsets the system.
The flashing indicator light is saying that the engine is immobilised. Tomorrow I will try using the access code to see if this can get it going. Damn electronics.
Can anybody assist with this problem.

Someone recently with an immobiliser problem - do a search.

The cure was to disconnect the battery and join the two battery wires together for 20 minutes.
Presumably (my thoughts here) the idea is to ensure that all "electronics" is discharged - nothing holding a charge, if you see what I mean.

Connect to battery and it all was good.
