hans check out the traxide unit - very cost effective and its a "plug and play".
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

the Puma has a headlight relay to protect the switch, I don't know if you can copy the wiring to improve previous models

    Hi,
My lights on my 97 Defender went out this morning (brief flicker on parkers, then nothing) so I'm assuming its the switch. Where's the best spares place in Adelaide to pick up one quickly?

(oh and anyone know what the part number is?)
    Cheers

All sorted, TRS has one in stock, pulled mine apart and had the new on in in about 20 minutes. The old one hadn't melted like other people describe, there just simply wasn't a contact plate anymore - flimsiest little plastic switch I have ever seen as well.
I'll upgrade my wiring soon as i want to put some brighter lights in the beast anyway.

lmao, I found the plate this morning and just finished doing the same thing - a good spare in an emergency!
