Thread: Transfer Box

On the weekend my 99 defender gained a whine noise in 3,4,5 in high range this was after driving for about 1 1/2 hours highway driving . After i met some other guys we went 4 wding and it didnt seem to whine in low range seemed fine all day in low range then went to come home back into high range and the whine came back but only 3 ,4 . Checked it again Monday eve as its not daily driver but seemed same 3, 4 high . Only had the car couple of months but its also been hard to get into 4th some times . Any body got any ideas what to check . Thanks
